Summer Competition (June & July)

Purpose: The purpose of this competition is to encourage you to meet the purposes of our youth ministry, which are Discipleship, Ministry, Christian Fellowship, Worship and Evangelism. In time we hope that these missions will become habit.

During this competition there will be points rewarded for each accomplishment. The competition will conclude July 31st. We will then tally up the points and reward 3 winners from each school. We will have 3 winners from the High School and also 3 winners from the Middle School. 

 

Goal: Create Life Long Habits and Create Accountability in our Youth Group

 

Point System:

 1) Attendance- 3 Pts each for the following

1) S.S. 2) Rock Solid 3) Total Impact 4) Youth Outings

 2) Pantry Items (non perishable food) - 1 point each for each item (50 pts Max)

 3) Clothes (Clothes Closet) - 5 points for each item (100 pts max)

 4) Invite and Bring Youth- 10 pts for each youth (NO LIMIT)

 5) Letter of Appreciation to Church Staff or Church member- (20pts) (Limit of 2)

 6) Evangelism/Outreach: Must provide credible evidence (25 pts for each activity) (NO LIMIT)

 7) Bible Brought to Youth (S.S., Wed. Night, Rock Solid) - 20pts (NO LIMIT)

 8) Memory Verse- 5 pts each (NO LIMIT)

* You will be require to quote where the verse is located in the Bible and then quote the verse either to Stephen or Liz

 9) Volunteering for Day Camp or VBS- 10 pts for each day

 10) Growing in God’s Word- 25 pts for each Daily Devotional

* We must develop a habit of getting into God’s word every day

 

Procedure:

You must provide a Journal that includes the scripture you read and then a reflection of what God showed you during you time with spent in His word. The journal must show evidence of your personal bible study and daily devotional time.
