Eternal Impact? The Title says it all. Day Camp here at
Lancaster Baptist is all about making an Eternal Impact.
The Ultimate Goal of Day Camp is to make an impact for
Jesus and see lives change. We as a Day Camp staff know
if we plant the seeds in their hearts and also water the
seeds through this camp that God will ultimately do the
growing. We simply want to see lives changed forever. We
want to see changes that last for eternity. The Day Camp
staff works hard each and ever day of camp to teach the
kids the truths of scripture so they will Know
the Truth, Understand the Truth and Apply the Truth.
If you’re looking for a
day care, this is not the place. If you’re looking for a
place that your child can grow spiritually, you have
come to the right place. This camp is all about Bible.
That is simply the main focus. When these kids leave
camp I want them leaving knowing Jesus more than they
did before. We will spend each morning studying
scripture so the kids will know the truth. While we are
studying scripture we will be doing task rotations that
will help the kids understand the scripture. These
rotations are very fun and interactive and most
importantly effective. I use these rotations in my own
classroom at Garrard Middle School and I have seen the
evidence that they do work. Lastly we will take the
scripture and apply it through various ministry
opportunities. We might go visit homebound members or
even go sing to the senior adults at the Senior Citizens
center. Another main focus we have is our time of
worship. Each morning we will have a 20 to 30 minute
worship service. We want to help teach the kids how to
worship in spirit and truth. The worship services
include singing, skits, camp dances and much more! Our
mornings as you can see are all about teaching the kids
Truth. I like to call the morning sessions Jesus time. During
the afternoons after lunch we do relax a notch. The
afternoons are full of games, field trips, snacks and so
much more!
Day Camp is one of the
most effective ministries we have at Lancaster Baptist
Church. This will be our 6th year of day camp here at
LBC. God has blessed this ministry in a mighty way. We
started out 7 years ago having 15 to 20 kids a day to
nearly 45 a day. We have seen Souls Saved and lives
changed. Be a part of this amazing ministry and enroll
your child this summer. The camp is for completed
preschool to completed 5th grade.
